Part-time Positions

House Manager/Box Office

House Manager/Box Office staff are needed to oversee front-of-house activities.  Duties include: training ushers, preparing and opening the house, supervising the lobby, ensuring comfort and safety of patrons, and preparing reports. Additionally, experience in telephone sales, computer operations, and customer service important.

 

Required: reliability, strong organizational and people skills, quick decision making, and the ability to work with grace under pressure and a demonstrated ability to handle computerized ticketing systems. Previous front of house experience welcome. Work hours to be covered based on availability. Daytime hours: Monday-Friday 10:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Evening hours during performance weekends: Thursday-Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Performance weekends average 3 weekends a month. Bartender

Bartender needed to sell beverages and concessions to patrons for Weber Center and La Crosse Community Theatre events. Required: current beverage operator’s license or proof that license will be granted by date of hire. Position requires reliability, strong customer service mentality, ability to work with grace under pressure, quick decision making, astute problem solving, and basic math skills. Work schedule based on availability and event dates.  Hours will fall between 6:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Thursday – Saturday, and between 12:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Performance weekends average 3 weekends a month. Guest Musical Directors

Responsibilities

  • Casting
  • Rehearsing
  • Coordinating the efforts of other artistic staff members, namely: music director, choreographer, scenic designer, costume designer, lighting designer, and technical director to ensure the finest artistic achievement possible.

  • Assisting with casting.
  • Teaching and rehearsing the dances to performance level.
  • Collaborating with the Director on the entire movement of the show.
  • Collaborating with the rest of the production staff to ensure the highest artistic achievement possible.
