It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play

This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of the radio announcer, musicians, and sound effects man, the acting company brings these memorable and well-loved characters to the stage and the airwaves in a production that is sure to become a cherished family memory.

This is an exciting adaptation the classic Frank Capra film It's a Wonderful Life performed in the style of a 1940's radio broadcast, including live music, sound effects, and actors playing multiple roles.
There are roles available for 10-15 actors of all ages 8 and up to play over 50 characters! Roles include George and Mary Bailey, Old Man Potter, Clarence the Angel, a radio announcer, sound effects people, live musicians, and many more!
Auditions are November 1 & 2 at La Crosse Community Theatre. You do not need to prepare anything as readings will be provided at the audition. However, if you play a musical instrument and are interested in playing it for the show, please bring it with you to the audition if possible. There will be a piano provided.
The show runs December 10-19, 2010. Rehearsals will begin on Monday, November 8 and run from 6:30-9:30 pm, Mondays through Thursdays.
