La Crosse Community Theatre Presents Theatre for Youth Production Wind in the Willows

La Crosse, WI - 5/21/2013 - La Crosse Community Theatre will present its Theatre for Youth production The Wind in the Willows beginning June 14 and continuing through June 23, 2013. The play is based on the book by Kenneth Grahame and adapted by T. James Belich.
Cast and crew members will include La Crosse-area volunteer youth. Familiar faces include: Zach Ausavich, Parker Blumentritt, Amalia Brownell, Julianna Bruemmer, Abigail Copeland, Faith Copeland, Lily Delap, Michael Emerich, Olivia Golding, Kieran Harnish, Killian Harnish, Sam Hart, Erin Kucharczyk, Kasi Kucharczyk, Katie Sauer, and Connor Siegersma.
New to the LCT stage are Marty Backstrand, Esme Brekke, Paige Colsch, Calvin Daniels, Annie Glise, Amy Gobel, Emily Guerrero, Joshua Kaiser, Jasmine Kratt, Roland Kratt, Caeli McMahon, Ali Purdun, Truman Shortridge, Stephanie Skemp, Isaiah Stoos, Anastasia Veselovsky, and Katya Veselovsky.
The Wind in the Willows will be directed by Rebecca Hartzell, with direction assistance by Ash Dockry, costume design by Laurie Reischl, set design by Dillon McArdle, lighting design by David R. Kilpatrick, and stage management by Dylan Thoren.
Rat, Mole and Badger's idyllic days on the river are cut short by Mr. Toad's hare-brained shenanigans. When one such scheme lands them in hot water, it's up to the four friends to save the river from the wicked weasels of the Wild Wood.
Performances will take place Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts, located at 428 Front Street South, La Crosse, Wisconsin. Tickets are $10 (adults) and $5 (youth 12 and under).

regional premiere of blockbuster Les Misérables

La Crosse, WI - 3/18/2013 - La Crosse Community Theatre will present the regional premiere of Les Misérables beginning May 10 and continuing through May 26, 2013. The play is based on the book by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, with music by Claude-Michel Schönberg and lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer.
Some may recognize many in the cast: Tom Bartig, Nick Cambio, Justin Cooke, John Divney, Patti Hall, J. Michael Hartigan, Brianna Herber, Connie Huebsch, Allan Johnson, Kate Kersten, Ryan Knox, Jonathan Krocker, Michael Kruse, Mary Lansing, Kevin Laumbach, Ken Lerum, Sean McDevitt, Sara Meyer, Cyndy Nichols, Lindsay Raasch, Daniel Schneider.
Making their LCT debut are Anna Mae Beyer, Lily Cornwell, Hunter Evenson, Amy Hatlevig, Maria Higgins, Jacob Hustvedt, Ken Lauer, Danielle Leikam, Lauren Olmernik, Darcy Reimler, Sam Scheidt, Ava Shively, Abie Sprain, Dale Stafslien, Seth Von Steidl, Emily Ware, Michelle Walker, and Bradley Weber.
Les Misérables will be directed by Greg Parmeter, with music direction by Diane Foust with Dustin Bagstad, conducting by Alex Vaver, choreography by Jen Wilkinson, costume design by Mandy Parmeter, set and lighting design by Dillon McArdle, sound design by Dana Erickson, and stage management by Kyle DeLap.
Perhaps the most popular musical of all time, Les Misérables has thrilled audiences worldwide. LCT is proud to be the first community theatre in our region to produce this epic, grand and uplifting show. In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from years in prison and begins a life-long struggle for redemption, relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert.
Performances will take place Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts, located at 428 Front Street South, La Crosse, Wisconsin. All tickets are $25.
