Box Office Policies and Procedures

The box office is open for three weeks prior to each show and during the run of the show. Hours are 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to each performance.

The dates the box office opens are listed on the back of the season ticket confirmation letter and a reminder is sent with each newsletter. Patrons (season ticket holders making a Patron donation of $50 or more) may reserve tickets the first week of box office, season ticket holders may reserve their tickets the second week of box office, and the general public may start reserving tickets the Monday before opening night.

We recommend mailing your ticket request. Ticket requests by mail are to be sent no earlier than one week before the box office opens. Payment for any additional tickets must be sent in with the order.

Season ticket holders may order two additional tickets for guests for each season ticket purchased. These tickets must be for the same performance the season ticket holder is attending. These tickets must be paid for with a credit card or picked up and paid for by 5:00 p.m. the next business day or they may be resold.

General admission tickets can be charged to a credit card or paid for with a check/cash by 5:00 p.m. the following business day. General Admission tickets not paid for within the time limit will be put back on the board for sale. All tickets for the weekend must be paid for by 5:00 p.m. on Friday (or at the time of the order if on Saturday or Sunday).

Need to Exchange Your Tickets?

  • All ticket exchanges must be done in person at the box office.
  • There is a $1.00 per ticket exchange fee.
  • Tickets may only be exchanged for another performance of the same show, not for another show.
  • Tickets must be exchanged at least 24 hours prior to the performance the original tickets are for.
  • In case of emergency, we may (at our discretion) allow the customer to use his or her tickets on another night if tickets are available. These tickets may not be reserved ahead of time. The ticket exchange fee still applies.

Unable to Use Your Tickets?
Sorry, no refunds. Please return your unused tickets at least 24 hours in advance of the production date to receive a receipt for a tax-deductible donation.

Cameras, Recording Equipment, Cellular Phones, and Pagers
The use of cameras, recording equipment, cellular phones, or pagers is strictly prohibited in the theatre. You may check these items at the box office. Pagers and cell phones are attended during the performance; messages are delivered instantly. Please leave your seat number at the box office.

Phone Calls
Parents, please leave your seat numbers with your babysitter. If they need to reach you during the performance and we do not have a seat number to be able to locate you, we will try to find you during intermission or after the performance. We do not interrupt the performance to page people for phone calls.

Flowers
Giving flowers to cast members while on stage is prohibited. Flowers can be left in the box office for the stage manager to deliver or for you to deliver after the cast member is out of costume. Audience members are not allowed backstage. If you wish to meet with a cast or crew member after the show, please wait for them in the auditorium or lobby.

Bad Weather Policy
It is the policy of the La Crosse Community Theatre not to cancel performances due to bad weather. As a result, we urge our ticket holders to make every effort to attend the performance for which they hold tickets. Should this prove impossible, please call the box office as soon as possible before the performance and alternative arrangements will be made when possible. There are no refunds. We cannot guarantee that seating will be available for an alternate performance.

Babies and Small Children
It is the policy of the La Crosse Community Theatre that everyone attending the play have a ticket—including babes in arms. The reason for this is three-fold:

  1. If the children are too young to get something out of the play, they are a distraction to the rest of the audience. We do not encourage the attendance of any child under age two.
  2. If the children are old enough to enjoy the play, they should have a ticket like the rest of the audience.
  3. It is required by fire codes.

Please think twice about bringing very small children, but if you choose to bring them, remember that they must have a ticket and should be in aisle seating so you can easily take them out if they are being disruptive. Thank you for your cooperation.
