La Crosse, WI – 11/04/19 – La Crosse Community Theatre announces that tickets go on sale Monday, November 11, 2019 for the holiday musical, Elf The Musical. Performances begin December 6, 2019 and continue through Sunday, December 22, 2019. Shows are Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m., with a bonus performance Wednesday, December 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lyche Theatre at Weber Center for the Performing Arts.

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag and is transported to the North Pole. Raised as an elf, Buddy doesn’t realize he is actually human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities force him to face the truth. Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his father. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-sister doesn’t believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

“Based on the tremendously popular film starring Will Ferrell, Elf The Musical took audiences by storm on Broadway in the Christmas season of 2010. It was such a hit with audiences that it returned to Broadway two years later. The show has since been produced as a national tour, a West End production, and even a TV adaptation in the style of traditional holiday stop-motion animated specials. Bring the whole family and laugh until it hurts with this fun and festive comedy romp as Buddy the Elf saves Christmas,” said LCT’s Producing Artistic Director, Grant Golson.

Elf The Musical is directed by guest artist, Stephanie Harter Campbell. This production also features music direction by Seth Keiser, choreography by Jennifer Nichols Wilkinson, set design by Kit Mayer, costume design by Irina Christel, lighting design by Jason Underferth, props design by Tina Napiorkowski, accompaniment by Sarah Leitzen, technical direction by Peter Suardi, stage management by Kyle Delap, and assistant direction by Kaleb Morgan.
