La Crosse, WI- 08/21/17 – La Crosse Community Theatre will hold auditions for the murder mystery, And Then There Were None, on September 11 and 12, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at Weber Center for the Performing Arts, 428 Front Street South, La Crosse, WI.
Lured into the island home of mysterious hosts, ten strangers gather for one last summer holiday. Shortly after their arrival, a recorded message accuses each of murder and then one drops dead-poisoned. One down and nine to go! The excitement never lets up. Based on Agatha Christie’s superlative mystery novel, this show will keep you guessing who the killer is, and who will be the next to fall.
And Then There Were None will be directed by guest artist, Steven Walker, who has been a part of the La Crosse community since 2010. He has been involved in over 30 productions in the area including The Dining Room (LCT), The Pillowman (Pump House) and Guys and Dolls (Appleseed). Walker also directed the original work, The Season (Blue Lobstar), written by local play write, C.R. Wolff. He was a founding member of two different improv groups (Sum Assembly Reekwired, The Webernauts) and is the director/founder of the sketch comedy group, Live! From La Crosse. Walker lives in La Crosse with his wife, Michelle, an actress and musician in the community.
Auditions are open for ages 18 and up. There are roles available for men and women. First-time auditionees are welcome-no experience necessary. Auditionees do not need to attend both nights of auditions.
Performances are Thursdays through Sundays, October 19-29, 2017. The cast list will be announced during the morning show of WXOW on Friday, September 15, 2017, as well as online and on the stage door. Rehearsals are tentatively scheduled for Wednesdays through Saturdays, beginning on September 20, 2017, at Weber Center for the Performing Arts.
