LCT’s staff is expanding!

LCT is thrilled to announce Tim Harris as our new Production Manager.

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce all of our staff and how you might interact with each of us.

Grant Golson, Executive Director

There’s no business like show business, and LCT’s beautiful productions enticed Grant to move his family to the frozen tundra. Now that he’s here, Grant focuses on fundraising, arts administration, and artistic direction so that LCT can continue to produce the high quality programming for which it’s known. A showman himself, Grant’s artistic vision will ensure that each new season will be more exciting than the last.

Tim Harris, Production Manager

Few people know LCT and Weber Center better than Tim. He’s worked as a technician, designer, crew member, and even as an actor. His expertise on and off the stage will serve him well as the new Production Manager. He will recruit, train, and oversee our volunteers, in addition to advising our technical director.

Jessi Davidson, Marketing Director

As the Marketing Director, Jessi keeps the community apprised of the goings on of the theatre. She honed her graphic design skills at Western Technical College and now crafts marketing materials for the web, print ads, publications, and patron correspondence. She also works closely with our sponsors to ensure their brand is well represented in LCT’s print and digital media.

Mary Cate Cichock, Patron Services Manager

Not many can enter the theatre without encountering Mary Cate’s cheery disposition and infectious smile. As the Patron Services Manager, Mary Cate assists with tickets sales, donations, ushers, and LCT’s front of house operations. Her passion for theatre extends into the classroom as well, where she serves as a teacher for our youth classes.

Erek Weis, Technical Director

A Viterbo University alum, Erek is no stranger to LCT’s backstage areas. After working as a carpenter for Syracuse Stage in New York, he’s thrilled to return to La Crosse as the LCT Technical Director. Erek looks forward to continuing LCT’s tradition of constructing beautiful sets and creating lighting designs in our Lyche and Veterans Studio theatres.

Mary Hofer, Bookkeeper

Mary keeps LCT on budget. She balances out our newer staff with her years of experience handling the financials at LCT. Mary also enjoys traveling and has joined LCT on several group tours.

Dominique Luecke, Office Manager

In this cast of creative staff members, Dominique serves as a supporting actress. She lends a hand in preparing special events and meetings, proofing marketing materials, corresponding with patrons, and assisting with several other operational assignments. She’s happy to help you with whatever you need.

Stacy Bruemmer, Education Coordinator

Stacy energizes the room from the moment she enters it. Her enthusiasm and creativity make her the ideal mentor for the young artists who visit LCT. She organizes and teaches our theatre for youth classes, sparking the imaginations of all who attend. Stacy also brings theatre to youngsters in the community by coordinating, directing, and performing in our touring Theatre for Young Audiences productions.

LCT Announces Beloved Christmas Classic, ‘A Christmas Story’

La Crosse, WI – 11/13/17 – La Crosse Community Theatre announces that tickets go on sale Monday, November 20, 2017 for A Christmas Story. Performances begin December 7, 2017, and continue through Sunday, December 17, 2017. Shows are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. in the Lyche Theatre at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts.

Adult Ralph Parker recounts the Christmas he celebrated as a nine-year-old living with his parents and younger brother in northern Indiana. This particular Christmas was special: his contest-obsessed father won a prize and the never-ending battle with the house furnace. Ralphie faced challenges of his own: clashing with the town bullies and discovering a new relationship with soap. But most memorable was what he wanted more than anything for Christmas: an official Red Ryder carbine action 200-shot range model air rifle, aka a BB gun. Retold with a touch of childhood fantasy, these Christmas stories remind us all why we love the holidays.

“Although it was considered a flop by box office standards when it was released in November of 1983, the film A Christmas Story has endured and is now considered by many to be the best Christmas movie of all time. Come enjoy this beautiful, live telling of the classic story of a young dreamer who just wants a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. It is sure to warm your heart and tickle your funny bone.” said LCT Executive Director, Grant Golson.

A Christmas Story is directed by Phil Addis. This production also features set design by Noah Files, costume design by Irina Christel, lighting design by Tim Harris, props design by Bonnie Jo Bratina, sound design by Tim Harris, stage management by Emily Ware, and assistant stage management by Dawn Havican.

The performers are Dan Radtke as Ralph, Beckett Cottrell and Carter Mandell as Ralphie Parker, Lynn Schulze as Mother, Josh Miner as The Old Man, Isidore Thomsen as Randy, Sue Ann Davis-Mitley as Miss Shields, Owen Scott as Flick, Soren Miner as Schwartz, Annabelle Yusten as Esther Jane, Rubie Stetzer as Helen, Brandon Haring as Scut Farkas, Josh Lichty as Cowboy, Avery Gerstenberger as Tree Lot Owner, Michael Kruse as Delivery Man, Greta Speckeen as Black Bart, Joe Theisen as Santa, Kaleb Azene as Desperado 1, Sam White as Desperado 2, Kat Stahmann as Elf 1, Savannah Steiger as Elf 2, and Ensemble members Andrew Egan, Molly Frey, Andrew Hatcher, Lilly Picha, Natalia Poterucha, Joe Theisen, and Sophia Valentina Nicolai.

“The audience will see the pure innocence, love, anticipation, and passion that a child exerts while waiting to open that ultimate gift sitting under the Christmas tree,” said Director, Phil Addis.
