Michelle grew up on a dairy farm near Strum, Wisconsin. She enjoyed participating in High School theatre and one act plays. Michelle was also a choreographer for musical and dance events. Following high school she did some acting at the college in Eau Claire. Michelle graduated from cosmetology school and began a 41 year career including owning and managing her own salon. Michelle also became a CNA and provided care at a nursing care facility. While working as a CNA, Michelle also gained her First Responder license. Michelle was a care taker for both of her parents in her home for several years.

Michelle has two sons, Trinity who resides with his wife Mariah in Ellsworth, Wisconsin and Tyler who lives in Wenatchee, Washington, and two step sons, Chris and wife Stephanie Kelley and two granddaughters, Eleanora and Marissa, and step son Ryan Kelley, all of Holmen, Wisconson. Michelle's sons and grandchildren are her pride and joy. Michelle is married to Tom Kelley who had a 36 year career in the newspaper industry following his service in the US Army MP Corps.

Michelle is an avid gardener and finds her serenity and peace with nature, She enjoys crafting and decorating. Michelle is excited to join the La Crosse Community Theatre Board and sharing her passion for the theatre and giving back to the community.
