LCT Announces Youth Comedy, 'Dr. Evil and the Basket of Kittens'

La Crosse, WI – 05/20/19 – La Crosse Community Theatre announces that tickets go on sale May 20, 2019 for Dr. Evil and the Basket of Kittens. Performances begin June 14, 2019, and continue through Sunday, June 23, 2019. Shows are Fridays at 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. in the Lyche Theatre at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts.

Dr. Evil wants to destroy the world, but when a basket of kittens arrives on his doorstep, it’s his world that is turned upside down. The Council of Evil is set to arrive for the unveiling of Dr. Evil’s latest weapon. If the Council finds him with the kittens, they may never support him. There is only one solution for Dr. Evil: destroy the kittens. You’ll be rooting for the little fur balls, but being bad has never been this much fun!

Dr. Evil and the Basket of Kittens is sure to be a fun time for grown-ups and children alike. Come watch kids ages 8 to 18 fall in love with the art of theatre as they take the stage to present this fun and silly comedy. This is a fantastic opportunity to expose your children to the magical world of live performance,” said LCT Producing Artistic Director, Grant Golson.

Dr. Evil and the Basket of Kittens is directed by Stacy Bruemmer. This production also features set design by Kelsey Taunt, costume design by Krissa Valentine-Harnish, lighting design by Pete Suardi, sound design by Reilly Sullivan, technical direction by Pete Suardi, and stage management by Grace Stablier and Alex Yeiter.

The performers are Lilly Picha as Mary Shelley, Jake Kaiser as Dr. Frankenstein, Ivy Engen as Frank Jr./Weather Reporter, Julianna Bruemmer as Shirley, Grace Olson as Inferna, Georgia Galvan as Margo, Cooper Koepke as Unna Were, Riley Hatlevig as Sylva Were, Avie Nelson as Dr. Evil, Ella Madsen as Countess Gothma, Ben Parmeter as Pierce, Grace Kearney as Mummy, Beatrice Nerud-Sersch as Annie Were, Holden Grover as Lord Warhammer, Chelsey Peters as Archduchess Arsenica, Blake Bilyeu as Prince Vladi, Anya Westrich as Momma Cher Were, Donavin Wylie as Pappa Tupper Were, Nora Erickson as Mother, and Kathrine Dahl as Child.
