LCT's Annual Appeal 2025
Dear Patrons,
This year, I’ve been reminded again and again that community is what makes La Crosse Community Theatre truly special. When we unexpectedly lost our National Endowment for the Arts grant for the Penguin Project — a program that gives young artists with special needs a chance to shine — our community didn’t hesitate to step up. It was one of the most humbling and inspiring moments of the year, and a beautiful reminder that when we support the arts, we’re really
supporting each other.
On a more personal note, my own highlight this year came when I put on a cape (yes, literally) and became Theatreman: Superhero for Arts Education! as part of a fundraising campaign for Altra Star Academy and the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra. What began as a lighthearted adventure turned into something much deeper — a reflection of how all of us, in our own ways, become heroes when we champion the arts.
From the heartwarming performances of Oliver!, White Christmas, and Steel Magnolias to the laughter and rawness of Waitress and the joy of seeing the new LEAP Center in use, this has been a year of renewal, growth, and gratitude. We even helped one of our own on his path to becoming a professional playwright by staging Jonathan Lamb’s Adventures Await. And as always, it’s been made possible by generous supporters like you who keep our lights shining bright and our stages alive.
As you consider your year-end giving, I hope you’ll include La Crosse Community Theatre in your plans.

Thank you for being part of our story and for continuing to believe in the power of community, creativity, and theatre. Together, we’ll keep inspiring the next generation of artists — and maybe a few more superheroes along the way.
Warm regards,
Erik Vose
