A world-famous tenor is scheduled to perform the starring role in Verdi’s Otello at a prestigious Cleveland opera gala. But when he mysteriously disappears just before curtain time the opera manager makes a desperate decision. He enlists his nervous but well-meaning assistant, Max, to don the costume and take the stage in disguise. What follows is a riotous chain of miscommunications, door-slamming chaos, and operatic absurdity—amidst a flurry of mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, and escalating panic—in this fast-paced farce that will leave audiences laughing all the way to the final bow.
