Theatre Games, for age 8-18, meets from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This class is for EVERYONE! Theatre games can be used to meet new people, build a team, or just have fun! Come and play!

Performances begin September 6, 2019, and continue through Sunday, September 22, 2019. Orphaned in India, Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle, Archibald, and his invalid son, Colin. The estate’s many wonders include a magic garden, which beckons the children with haunting melodies and dreamers. These spirits from Mary’s past guide her through her new life and dramatize the secret garden’s compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.
“The Secret Garden is a haunting story that has been enchanting children and adults since the novel was published in 1911. For the first time in our history, LCT is proud to present the Tony award winning musical that captivated audiences during the 1991 Broadway season. Come see this thrilling ghost story of love, loss, and redemption,” said LCT Producing Artistic Director, Grant Golson.
The Secret Garden is directed by Liz Golson. This production also features music direction by Diane Foust, conducting by Kristin Freedlund, set design by Kit Mayer, costume design by Theresa Smerud, lighting design by Jason Underferth, props design by Bonnie Jo Bratina, sound design by Ryan Van Berkum, accompaniment by Sarah Leitzen, technical direction by Pete Suardi, and stage management by Molly Brueske.

La Crosse, WI – 07/29/19 – La Crosse Community Theatre will hold auditions for the thriller, Bad Seed, on August 19 and 20, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. at Weber Center for the Performing Arts, 428 Front Street South, La Crosse, WI.
Little Rhoda Penmark is the evil queen of the story. On the surface, she is sweet, charming, full of old-fashioned graces, loved by her parents, and admired by all of her elders. But after a boy from her class wins the penmanship medal instead of her, Rhoda’s charm turns to spite. When the boy mysteriously drowns at a picnic, Mrs. Penmark can’t shake the feeling that Rhoda was somehow involved. Would Rhoda do anything to get the medal she felt she deserved?
Bad Seed will be directed by Grant Golson. Grant assumed the role of Producing Artistic Director for LCT in August of 2017. Originally from Overland Park, Kansas, he has worked in fundraising and administration for The Lyric Opera of Kansas City and The ALS Association Mid-America Chapter. Prior to that, Grant spent ten years as an equity actor in New York City and around the country. Midway through that journey, he took a shot at directing and found it to be another great passion. Grant has an MBA from the University of Kansas.

We’ve ramped up our summer theatre camps and they’re more fun than ever! Join us as we create original pieces, explore the depths of our imaginations, and perform a beloved musical!
Imagination, Go!, for ages 5-7, meets from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 29-August 2, 2019. Campers will be introduced to all things theatre! With their bodies, voices, and of course their imaginations, campers can be anything and go anywhere. This half-day camp is designed for the youngest pretenders. Using games, crafts, and stories, campers will learn how to create an original piece or add onto a favorite tale!
Showtime!, for ages 8-13, meets from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, August 5-9, 2019. This camp is for anyone who is craving to be a part of a show. In addition to rehearsing and performing a short play, the campers will experiment with costumes, props, lights, and sound. It’ll be a week of exploration with everything theatre!
Musical Theatre Camp Presents, for ages 14-18, meets from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 22-August 2, 2019. Campers will break the status quo and take part in a smash hit musical! High School Musical Jr. is coming to LCT’s Lyche stage! This intensive, two-week camp will immerse campers in musical theatre. With the help of High School Musical Jr.’s infectious songs and dances, campers will gain experience in auditioning, rehearsing, and performing a Broadway classic.
